How it all started
OpenAirlines was launched by Alexandre Feray, former IT Director of Flight Operations at Air France, on December 2006 in Toulouse. His idea was to bridge the gap between IT, Big Data, Innovation and the daily nitty-gritty of operations to develop decision support systems with innovative technologies to help airlines reduce costs of their operations and limit their environmental impact.
